The Girl Effect

We are so incredibly blessed to live in a country where it’s EXPECTED that girls go to school.  A matter of fact, all of us, born as girls within the USA, are blessed beyond belief.  In many countries, you are lucky if you even make it to school for an elementary education.  And if you are able to receive an elementary education, by the time you are 8, you could be done with school and out making a living for your family.  By the time you are 12, the reality is you are a woman and face the potential of marriage.  TWELVE.  I’m convinced I still had Barbies at 12 years old.  And to be honest, there are many regions of the world, where I’ve heard of the age being younger…yes, younger.  Seriously, I didn’t even know exactly how babies were made at 12!  It breaks my heart.  And I believe we must be the change we want to see in this world.

Since I am all about smart girls embracing their brains, I feel a social responsibility to encourage the same in areas of our world that are less fortunate.

Education is the key to independence and freedom.

WE have the opportunity to keep girls safe by keeping them in school!  WE have a chance to give them a proper future.

I’m proud to announce that a portion of each session with my seniors will be donated to The Girl Effect.

We are smart girls promoting smart girls.  Be the fearless girl you are, and make a difference in the world.

Check this out…It gets me so excited to be a part of this special mission.
