This past weekend, we had a wonderful trip to the San Francisco area. Ironically, I grew up in Southern California, and I “apparently” have been to San Francisco once before. However, it was when I was two years old–so of course since I have no recollection, it doesn’t count! So we had the perfect opportunity to explore the city when we drove up for the fabulous Sonoma winery wedding of Gladys Jem, and her main squeeze, Chris.
The wedding…oh my. It was amazing. I have never been to a wedding where the vows were so intense…and of course, they had me in tears. These two are so madly in love; to say the least, it was an honor to be a part of their day and witness such a union. And for the record, the pink champagne cupcakes were to die for…I’ve been craving them ever since. You will have to check out the talented Jasmine Star’s blog for the wedding photos; I’m sure they will be some serious eye candy. And then there was the photobooth…I fell in love with the photobooth at their wedding, here is some proof:
I’m convinced I need one in my house so everyone that visits can go in the photobooth with me! But now my lovely memories from the wedding are on my inspiration board where I can glance over and have a good laugh!
So after the wedding, we spent the rest of the weekend exploring. Here are some fun photos from our time in San Francisco…and yes, I had my chance to cross the Golden Gate Bridge and it was just as much fun as I thought it would be!
And here are the girls…giddy with excitement when we told them they get to see where chocolate is made!
Daddy walking his girls to the Ghirardelli factory! Nothing like a little hot chocolate on a cold morning!
Okay…so this is proof that chocolate is in our family’s blood. Our family name was all over the factory equipment that makes the Ghirardelli chocolate…I think that entitles me to chocolate for life!
Little Miss Sunshine has been wanting a pair of ear-muffs for awhile now…so when she spotted these in a gift store, she knew she had to have them. Both kiddos got to pick one special thing on our trip, and this was her choice…no doubt about it. She wears them EVERYWHERE! Even to school…
Thank you Gladys and Chris for the wonderful evening at your wedding…it was truly amazing. You are a wonderful example of what love really is. And thank you San Francisco for the fabulous weekend! I’m down to my last piece of Ghirardelli Chocolate…I think it’s time for another trip already!
